Bio
Redheadphone is a female fronted trip-hop group based in New York City with roots in California. Redheadphone is a collaboration of live performance and turntables.
This girl group delivers a unique expression of soul music influenced by hip-hop, electro-pop, jazz, and rock.
Vocalist/songwriter Eve Hyman is a product of influences from Guru and KRS One to Etta James - to PJ Harvey.
She brings the listener solid songwriting you can nod your head to.
Collaborating with hip hop producers on both coasts, Eve's songs take you through the city with melodies that stick to you and lyrics that lift you - over bridges and up onto rooftops.
Tisra Dewitt blesses the group with airy, soulful harmonies. Micah Gaugh's saxophone is an eclectic aural game of cat and mouse while DJ Gizmo blends beats to shake you out of your seat. Redheadphone is singer songwriter you can dance to.
