The Red Hot Blues Catz (“RHBC”) originally formed in 2000 under the direction of lead guitarist/singer Ed Hayslett. Despite its success and critical acclaim, the original RHBC disbanded in 2003. The RHBC band has now been resurrected and they’re gonna rock your world!

Biography

The Red Hot Blues Catz band was originally formed in 2000 under the direction of lead guitarist and singer Ed Hayslett (“Cat Daddy”). Despite its success and critical acclaim, the original Red Hot Blues Catz disbanded in the summer of 2003, shortly after the release of the band’s second CD entitled “Look What the Catz Drug In,” due to differences in musical and spiritual direction of the individual band members. With a renewed heart and spirit, the Red Hot Blues Catz band has been reformed and resurrected. In addition to Ed Hayslett, the new Catz include Gabriel Gonzales (vocals), Steve Sides (guitar), Mark Lane (bass guitar), Brad Ruptak (drums), Billy Allen (mouth harp), and Brenda Carruth (vocals). The synergy of the new Red Hot Blues Catz is evident in their musical and vocal abilities as well as their obvious friendships on stage, which has allowed the bar to be raised far above where the band was going before. The Catz’ new mantra is, “Groovin’ Blues with Good News!” The Catz have been sharing that good news all over town: The Toad Tavern, Herman's Hideaway, the Blues on Blake club, and the Blue Moo'd Lounge.

Lyrics

Testify

Written By: Ed Hayslett

Testify, about your love for me
Testify, about your love for me
Get on your knees and tell me it ain't so
Wha's in your heart and in your soul
Testfy, about your love for me

(Chorus)
Don't you know the wy I feel for you
Make me happy and you make me blue
Can't you feel the way I feel for you
I think it's more than you ever knew

Testify, about your love for me
Testify about your love for me
Gt on your knes and tell me it ain't so
What I've heard and what I've been told
Testify, about your love for me
