The Red Hot Sugar Babies – an energetic jazz band performing music of the roaring 1920’s and 30’s – popular music made famouns by vocalists like Bessie Smith and Ethel Waters, and jazz legends such as Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, and Louis Armstrong. Plus a bit of blues and swing.
Featuring Wendi Loomis on vocals (& clarinet), Joanne Domka (trumpet), Andrew Fletcher (piano), Lois Jolly (trombone), Lin Llewellyn (tenor banjo), Lora Pendleton (Bass).
Come dance the Charleston and revisit the era of flappers, speakeasies, rumble seats, and bathtub gin!
