Bio
Hi, I am Alison Dal Compo. In 1996, when I was in my late 30's, I decided I wanted to learn to sing. I grew up being in marching bands (under the direction of the late Bill Carroll )and drum corps as a melodic percussionist. But I truly wanted to be a singer. After one semester of classical voice at College of Lake County, I found the wonderful Tamara Anderson. Tamara patiently taught me on and off for over ten years.
About two years ago, I asked my friend Wade Marton if I could sing with his band--one song at my own 25th anniversary party. And as they say...the rest is history. I finally found my niche in my late forties!
We are an eclectic group...lead guitarist Wade Marton, rhythm guitarist Conrad Widitz (age 17!!) bass guitarist Kevin Gordon, and drummer Charlie Wielgos.
We play primarily classic rock, as Wade, Kevin and I grew up on bands like Journey, Rush and Boston.
