REDLINE – the beginning
In October 2010, Joe Benninger who is the bass guitarist/vocal player from a band called SWEETLINE decided to run auditions at Maxwell’s Music House to start a new band consisting of 5 talented children.
With his own son Max playing drums, he believed that his son had a true calling for drum playing having his first set of drums at the age of 3, he decided to invest his own time in forming a band with his son.
Joe felt that if he could share his knowledge of the music industry and guidance, which is something he did not have when he started, would be an asset to this newly formed band.
Auditions were held at Maxwell’s Music House, which he chose 5 of the most talented children that he auditioned.
The 5 children were selected, Max Benninger on drums (age 9), Jaqueline Pothumis on bass (age 9), Reagan Schneider on keys/vocals (age 10), Peter Morey on lead guitar (age 12), and Riley VanDeHogen on rhythm guitar/vocals (age 11).
These children then decided on their band name and REDLINE was formed.
From this time forward they have played several gigs and proceed to excel with their growing talent to take over the industry.
REDLINE meaning an engine’s top speed is sure to rock the nation!!!
