Bio
Brought together in 2005 by drummer John Lowell, Redondo Bitch is a hard rock cover band that takes the "garage rock" experience to a whole different level. John discovered singer/guitarist Mike McCarthy working in his office, and one wail from "The Kid's" pipes was all he needed to know he'd struck gold. With Milsy pounding out the bass and sweetly filling up the vocal pallette, the core of Redondo Bitch was born.
We like rock in all its forms, and that's what we've played. Crafting tight, dynamic sets from bands like The Strokes, The Who, David Bowie, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Wilco, etc. we make a show that's a veritable smorgasbord of rock favorites.
Redondo Bitch also crafts kickass originals, with compositions coming from both Mike and Milsy like LA Non-Confidential, Down the Coast, and Not Coming Home. Songs about the seedy underbelly of LA, songs about love gone horribly wrong, all with a hard rock edge that doesn't take itself too seriously.
