Bio

Sir Yes Sir! Captain Scott McHenry! After starting a family and doing a couple tours in Iraq, Scotti martialled musical friends to form a new band of brothers: First Jeff, who’s spirited rhythm playing earned him first call status. When Scott mentioned “we just need a bass player and then we can get a singer” Dave’s wife recommended his long lost “basement bass” and he was in after a quick dust-off. Scott made a brief appearance at a jam that Patti facilitated for veterans. She came home and told her husband, “Geez, I’d love to be in a band with this guy!” Scott completed this mission with a second visit to the jam and “Patti was ours.” Still missing a drummer, we tried a couple, when Patti suggested friend and mentor Jim Tevels: another veteran who was quickly described as “incomparable”. So makes this “Band of Brothers”.

Red Sky is currently playing gigs at bars, clubs and events around Ontario and Wayne County- by the summer of 2013 they had appeared at the Orange Inn, Cheap Charlie’s, Mickey Finn’s, Finn’s Inn, Cottage Hotel, Tommy’s and V-Pub, Lizards Lounge and The Blue Eagle.

We are seeking opportunities to play local summer benefits, fairs and festivals in Monroe and surrounding countries. So far we have booked a benefit called Harmony for Heroes in Ontario county.

We are also working on original material and “jam” versions of some covers that should play well at camping festivals.
