Zombie Ants in Building 59 June 2006

Red Sky South was formed in March of 2005. Even though the band is young, they've played big gigs at the Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, the Hardrock at Hollywood FL, and has their music played on FAU's radio station. Their popularity sort of happened over night.
For a long time they were an instrumental group, only because they couldn't find a singer. Once they found her (Emily), they kept what they had already written, these 8 minute songs with no structure, and added vocals. This is what makes RSS so unique. Things are now going up for the band with the release of their first full length cd in June of 2006. The album is entitled Zombie Ants in Building 59.
When Emily first joined the band, Danny brought his acoustic over to her apartment and they sat outside and wrote vocals on acoustic. Dan crushed an ant he saw, and it was lying in front of where he was sitting. 45 minutes later it got up and walked away! So thats where the album title came from. The cd is going to have 12 songs on it, 3 of which are acoustic versions of heavy songs. Promising things are coming for Red Sky South and they are excited about the changes.
