Bio

Straight through the heat of the Mead Valley sun a "Tumble Weed" rolls across the road. Off in the distance you hear that familiar Ska/ Reggae sound that makes people Jam, Rock and Roll. Who is that you hear, it's Red Store Bums. For the past years Red Store Bums has been tearing the roof off venues all across Southern Callifornia to support their self titled debut LP.

Red Store Bums originated from Mead Valley, CA in 2001. The band started out with 3 members, David on guitar, Albert on Bass, and Manuel (Biker) on Drums. The first few shows consisted of an instrumental number given by the trio. In 2002 Jimmy brought his vocal and song writing talents on board. While recruiting a trumpet player, Edgar (La Banda Skalvera), helped out the band. Finally Victor on trumpet, and Manny on Timbales joined the band. At Ghetto Fest 2003 Red Store Bums made their official debut. Since then the band has not only grown musically but has added a few members. Steven was added on the guitar. To the horn section was added Big David and Ricardo on trumpet and Roberto on Saxaphone.

Red Store Bums released their debut LP in 2006 and sold out The Knitting Factory, Hollywood for their album release party. Red Store Bums have also sold out the Allen Theatre on several occasions. They have played several festivals including, LA Sound System 2008, LA Skacore Invasion and Ghetto Fest (Mead Valley, CA). Red Store Bums have been drawing an audience and strong fan base over the years. They bring the crowds and get them skanking through the night.

Red Store Bums have been busy at work, building awareness of their sound. They have played alongside such acts as, Skeletones, Fishbone, Voodoo Glowskulls, La Banda Skalavera and the Debonaires. Red Store Bums are currently working on new material to bring to the people, and focused on gigging around So. Cal. in order to increase their fan base. The band's goal is to drop their second LP by the end of 2009.
