"Red Vellum Razorblades "Ghost Umbrellas Album Review""

Okay, so are you guys ready for this? TRA found the guys by shear chance but I was intrigued the moment I heard them. Coming all the way from a small island in the Caribbean, Trinidad. They added TRA a few weeks back I had not got around to checking them out. My bad... I seriously rate this bands new CD 9.5 on the great new releases out this summer. On a scale of bad-ass CD's, it delivers quality tunes all the way through. You can hear the passion these guys have for music in every song...Great mix guys! They sound like Jimmy Eat World and The Used came together in a wonderful mold of Metal goodness. RVR was kind enough to send us a copy of their new CD and I am already stoked to be a proud owner of "Ghost Umbrellas" as well as keeping it on repeat on my iPod for the next month! Thanks for your contribution to rock and roll boys and keep up the good work.

Bio

Red Vellum Razorblades is a band from Trinidad and Tobago, a small island in the Caribbean. Coming from a region with no viable rock industry, the band set about building their own, personal recording studio and learning sound engineering. The result was "Ghost Umbrellas", their dark, yet poppy debut of August 2009. The album was self-released over itunes and amazon, and has gained them a following over myspace. The Trinidad based band released Ghost Umbrellas in June 2009, described as “a highly enjoyable ride into the darkest corner of your funny bone.” As instructed in the opening track “leave your hats and souls at the door!”
In 2009, Red Vellum Razorblades was featured on the soundtrack to the recently released movie "Only Go There At Night: Darkness Rising". We are also featured in the iphone rhythm game "Beatrider". Our album was given a pre-release rating of 9.5 out of 10 by the Tucson Rock Alliance. RVR was recently 1 of 45 artists chosen out of 2000 submitted acts to be considered for the Festival4Stars International Songwriting Competition. They're also slated for the upcoming 2010 Extreme Tour. The band is currently writing and recording their follow up record.
