Bio

Red Weather began as a solo act by Jason Sposeto in 2009. His first album hosted a slew of great Bay Area musicians (Lee Bob Watson, Pete Newsom and Dana Gumbiner amongst others) and was recorded at Station to Station, former home to Joanna Newsom, Kings and Queens, and the Moore Brothers. Deciding one is a lonely number, Jason joined forces in 2010 with guitarist Rahi Kumar and Causes cofounder Chris Chan on drums. Bassist Evan Jackson joined the roster shortly after, and Claire Grinton's fiddle and keys were not far behind.

The quintet soon established themselves at venues across the Bay Area, including Kimo's, the Rockit Room, and the Hemlock Tavern, playing with bands like the Blind Willies, Apollo Run, True Mad North, Holger, and Hurricane Roses. Their sound has been described as "folk rock", "spirited melancholy", "sun-dried sweet nothings" and "quite good". They're currently working on a new EP.
