REEC

Ambitious. Unstoppable. Undeniably Talented. Reec is as complex as he is simple, and his music is an indisputable reflection of the many characteristics he embodies. As an 80’s baby, Reec struggled for balance and stability as far back as he can remember. Moving from state to state and attending eight schools in seven years, Reec finally found a solid base in 1996; under his father’s roof in none other than the “illest of towns”, East Orange, New Jersey. When thinking back on the move that ultimately inspired him to be where he is today, Reec says, “My father did everything he had to do to make things happen. Under his tutelage I learned to challenge myself & believe that anything is possible through persistency, consistency and planning.”

Rigorous individual practices homed Reec’s skills causing him to accelerate on the inner-city basketball courts of New York and New Jersey. He eventually landed a scholarship at Atlanta’s Southern Polytechnic State University which is where his undiscovered gift – the gift of rhyme was recognized. Stepping up from performing for his teammates on long bus rides, Reec began to enter talent shows around Atlanta. Winning consecutive weeks at The Black Lion Café Showcase and holding down a solid win at the Underground Talent Mart (UTM) TV Talent Search, Reec’s success’ landed him the opportunity to open up numerous shows for Cash Money recording artist, Gotti.

Setting the Tone
Reec’s first two nationally released singles, “Get to the Money” & “Lets Go” are comprised of rowdy choruses and undeniable energy making them musical masterpieces definite fan favorite. These indisputable anthems have generated single sales that have placed Reec on the top ten on the world renowned Billboard Charts for over 40 weeks with 92 separate chart appearances and counting!

As of late, Reec has signed to go on a 32 city, 72 in-store appearance tour with FYE, Warehouse Music, and Sam Goodie to promote his new single. Reec is currently touring through the Metro Atlanta Boys and Girls Clubs, Rec. Centers and schools to motivate the youth with a lasting message of education, great music, and of course a hefty supply of giveaway items. Reec has recently collaborated with Atlanta’s legendary group the YoungBloodz, to create a down south club smash “Peter Pan Fly” which is gaining regional radio momentum.

Never being the one to play one position Reec has recently branched out and started his own Indie internet radio show. Also, in conjunction with The Peoples Film Co. Reec stared in the film “Love To Death” which is slated for national release in April. The rising star also had a cameo in the film “Death of a B–Boy” which stars Bow Wow.
Supported by his peers and his first love, the streets, Reec is ready to talk about a reality that yearns to be voiced. With a style that infuses the regional accent from the highly proclaimed capital of the South, Atlanta, Georgia and poise behind the MIC with a gritty New York demeanor, Reec is quickly becoming Hip Hop’s new MVP.
