Bio

"Music is my passion," states 22-year old Reeve Carney, "I would continue to do it whether or not I make a dime." Coming from a musical family, there was no doubt Reeve would be interested in music at such an early age. He began singing and playing the piano before he could walk. Living in New York City at the time, Reeve managed to get into the jingle business, singing for radio and television commercials. When he was only eight years old, Reeve sang with Peter, Paul and Mary for a holiday concert in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center (Manhattan). During this time, the Carney family was living the bicoastal life. The Carney family was traveling back and forth from Manhattan to Los Angeles to pursue the future careers of Reeve and his younger siblings, Zane and Paris, in both acting and music. Reeve became a professional actor in 1993 after a small role in the film, The Saint of Fort Washington.

By the time he was twelve years old, Reeve knew in his heart it was music he could never live without. Reeve traded in his childhood pastimes (hockey and baseball) to focus on his songwriting and various instruments. Reeve continued to better his career in film and television as well. In 1997, Reeve auditioned for the role of Ishmael Chambers in the movie Snow Falling on Cedars. He secured the role as Ishmael and delivered a stunning performance. Shortly after the film was released, Reeve was nominated in The 2000 Young Artists Awards and won "Best Performance in a Feature Film." Till this day, Reeve continues to be featured in magazines, television commercials and billboards all over the country. Excluding his award winning film roles, Reeve has an extensive print/commercial resume.

Now living in Southern California, Reeve spends his time performing in local clubs and popular nightspots. He got his start at the age of 16 when he performed at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Universal City, California. The crowd that night immediately saw his talent. The venue kept inviting him back to play and since then he has performed at numerous venues all over the world headlining, opening for, and performing with other musicians. Over the past year, he has been traveling the world as part of the Jonny Lang band. While on the road, Reeves fan base continues to grow. Someday, Reeve hopes to put out a fully realized album with all of his current band mates and favorite players. Until then, you can catch Reeve at any of his performances (Los Angeles and abroad) and pick up a copy of his EP, Looking Glass.

At such a young age, Reeve has already tackled and held on to life by the horns. As all great players and performers, Reeve has always stayed true to himself and to what he does. He is as honest as they come and you’ll find almost no one better. Reeve is heading for legendary status, please come see him before he’s selling out venues all over the world. Thank you.
