Regatta was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 2010 as a collaborative effort between Ajay Coletta (Santa Mamba/Planet Groove), Phil Cahners (Exit 27) and Eric Yanaway (Rampage Trio) with a vision of breaking down borders and bringing the world together with cross-cultural music that make people dance. By seamlessly fusing exotic world music and percussion with Rock and dance grooves, Regatta, captivates audiences with the universal language of rhythm and sounds of Jamaica, Africa, South America and the good old U.S.A.. The result is an organic form of roots, rock and reggae that moves the heart as well as the hips.
