"Have you Heard Regicide?"

Your music is...

Mix six devilishly stylish rockers with a shiny sax, tombone and trumpet. Add some spooky keyboard lines battered with chunky guitar and marinate in some spicy Mexican basslines. Bang some wicked skin then whip up some catchy tounge-in-cheek lyrics. There you have Regicide's sound in a nutshell - Good fun rock with horns.

Which acts inspired you to produce your own music and why?

Between the six of us, there are too many direct musical infulences to name. Obviously we're heartned by the huge success of bands like The Living End, who have shown that it is still possible to 'make it big' by sticking to your guns and ignoring fickle 'flavour of the month' fashions and fads.

What's your wildest ambition for your music?

To be asked to re-record one of our songs to incorporate a product name for use in a Japanese commercial, ala Madness' classic 'Honda City' ad.

Why should people come and see you?
To jump around like crazy while swoonihng tender tales of Communists, con men and cannibals in love. We pull no punches, we might not give the crowd what they think they want, but we always give them what we know they need. Whether it is you, your grandmother or that depressed kid down the street who wears his sister's jeans and make up, no-one walks away from our set bored.
