Bio

1990 - I started to have lessons of singing in Studio Nancy Miranda in São Paulo, Brazil. After a few years I’ve started to give classes as her assistant and to participate in the studio events as keyboard player and singer.

1991 - There Roberto de Carvalho (Rita Lee’s husband) was having classes, he saw me singing and playing, knew my work and invited me to be one of his musicians in his solo album.

1992 – There was an audition for Keyboard players that use to sing and play, then I knew Sergio Dias and started to work with him in his solo Album “Mind Over Matter”, in this tour we’ve had the honor to open for The Rick Wakeman (Yes) in the Olympia, São Paulo, Brazil.

1994 to 2001 – After working with Roberto de Carvalho in his solo álbum, Rita Lee Jones called and invited me to be one of her musicians, I was in several tours with Rita Lee (“A Marca da Zorra”, “Ando Meio DesLeegada -MTV Unplugged” & “3001”), as keyboard player and singer, I’ve recorded the cd “A Marca da Zorra” Live at the Canecão, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We have played in all the Capital Cities in Brazil, Portugal and Uruguay; In all the shows with Rita Lee & Roberto de Carvalho, We’ve had the honor to play with the greatest names of the brazilian music, among them are: Caetano Veloso, Erasmo Carlos, Zélia Duncan, Pato Fu, Paula Toller (Kid Abelha), George Israel (Kid Abelha), Fernanda Abreu, Ed Motta, Leo Gandelman, Ney Matogrosso, Barão Vermelho, and many others...

In the tour “A Marca da Zorra”, with Rita Lee & Roberto de Carvalho, we had the honor to open the shows for The Rolling Stones and The Spin Doctors, in the Vodoo Lounge Tour (1995), In São Paulo (Pacaembu Stadium) and Rio de Janeiro (Maracanã Stadium), Brazil, with an audience of 200.000 people and with that tour we’ve won The Shell Award as The Best Show of The Year.

2003 to 2005 – I was working with Sergio Dias Baptista in his solo álbum Estação da Luz. With the tour Estação da Luz, we’ve played in all the major cities in Brazil and at the Guanabara in London, England, recorded live by the BBC radio.

2006 - With the revival of the legendary band Os Mutantes I had the honor to be invited to join the group and perform at The Barbican Center, London, England and play with great names of the internacional music, opening for The Flaming Lips in Los Angeles, California at The Hollywood Bowl, with Devendra Banhart at The PitchFork Festival in Chicago, MI and with Mike Patton (Faith No More), among other great musicians around the world.

We recorded live for Sony Music Internacional a CD & DVD Mutantes Live at The Barbican Theatre in London – 2006. This recording was Latin Grammy Nominated in two categories for Best Rock álbum & Best álbum cover.

2006 - We got The TIM AWARD of Best Pop Band of The Year in Brazil.

2007 - Recorded a Mutantes track called “Tecnicolor” in the cd Jardim Elétrico: A Tribute to Os Mutantes, with the Italian Record Label: Madcap Collective (Frederico Zanatta), released in Italy.

2008 - Highlighting The first Show in São Paulo, Brazil, April 27, Virada Cultural at São João Stage, with an audience of 70.000 people.

2009 - Recorded with Os Mutantes the cd “HAIH or Amortecedor” released with the American Record Label: Anti Epitaph in Los Angeles, CA, released in September, 2009, all around the world.

2010 - We recorded the Brazilian version of the cd “HAIH or Amortecedor” that has my first song & lyrics on it, "Call Me", this cd will be released by Coqueiro Verde Records from Brazil.
This recording was Latin Grammy Nominated for Best Rock album in September 2011.
