“REIGN OF LIES, A band from Los Angeles, California who recently came to Vancouver,BC on the Melechesh tour this past June. This band had quite the charisma and was very social, mingling with fans, enjoying a beer here and there, not once did they not have 5 minutes to sit and chat with a fan. These bands are a dying breed, and when you get a chance to meet them, it is always a pleasure. Recently releasing their record, "A New Empire", and finishing a successful US Tour, we sat down with Gianni Rosati (vocals/guitars) and discussed the future plans for the band, some history, and so much more. Violently beautiful, methodically chaotic, Reign of Lies is a fury of melody, Metal and Groove. A full out assault on the senses, Reign on Lies is as much a treat for the ears as they are for the eyes. Watching a group of people so dedicated to their music and so amazingly talented with their instruments is an encouraging sign for the music world. White Noise is the perfect example of what all Reign of Lies has to offer. Channeling their inner rage and bringing grit and groove back to the metal scene, Reign of Lies is revitalizing the genre,
sticking to their root, and playing with a fearless conviction that is lacking in many of todays bands.
After recording three albums and touring across Europe, Gianni Rosati Giro moved to L.A. and began his solo project
Reign of Lies with the vision of finding musicians with the same passion and determination as himself. He went to the
prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. It was here, on the Hollywood music scene, that he found those
traits in Gregory Kate, Yoyo Bianchi, and Mashadi Maximus.
Gregory Kate is a young and talented bassist originally from California, who has already played in dozens of L.A. bands.
Yoyo Bianchi, originally from Santiago-Chile, moves to LA the year 2008 after touring South America. He played with a
few local bands, and finally found the perfect fit for his drumming style in Reign of Lies.
Mashadi Maximus Mash is a Canadian guitar shredder. He has recorded and toured with numerous bands through South
Asia, North and Central America. In 2011, Mash moved to Hollywood to further is career and joined numerous bands as
well as do session work for artists. While in Hollywood he met Gianni, which led to Mash joining Reign of Lies. Currently
he also plays in LA metal band Ampora as well as progressive metal band Flight of Reason.
In the summer of 2012, Reign of Lies began recording their debut album The New Empire mixed by Lee Wanner and
mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio (Opeth, Soilwork...) which will be released the 13th of June 2013
under the label Keetch Music. They are also endorsed by the globally renowned clothing company Keetch who also
endorse bands such as Meshuggah, Unearth, PDP, and Fear Factory.
Reign of Lies is ready to bring their unique style and presence to fans across the globe and immortalize themselves
among metals elite.
