The best kept secret in music

"VT's 5 Bands"

"Continuing Burlington's tradition of energetic jam-rock...one of VT's 5 bands to see." - Burlington Free Press

"Casual Fiasco..."

"TCF is guaranteed to knock the Birkenstocks off area Jam music lovers." - Patriot Times 6/23/05

"Keep it Casual"

The Casual Fiasco's upbeat, ska-infused rock is designed to put a smile on your face. Combining the open-ended vibe of groove music with the solid hooks of pop, the Burlington-based band bridges the gap between Sublime and Paul Simon. Throw in a little exploratory jamming and you've got a recipe for laid-back good times. The quartet recently celebrated the release of their latest disc, Body Over Mind; - Seven Days

"Jam-Packed Band"

...the band of twentysomethings is influenced as much by The Beatles, Talking Heads and Paul Simon as by Nectar's homeboys Phish.

As if to disprove a point, the group started Tuesday's show with an extended instrumental jam. The rest of the night, though, was filled with hummable tunes like the reggae-flecked "Down on Sunday," into which Reilly and Read interspersed lyrics from "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Get Up, Stand Up."

Read said jam bands tend to meander into "every nook and cranny of a song," something The Casual Fiasco doesn't do.
"We want people to go away from a show whistling one of our songs," he said. - Burlington Free Press

"The Casual Fiasco May Actually be Quite Serious"

Burlington's favorite stoner-rock divas The Casual Fiasco... have begun a six week residency at Nectar's. I first saw The casual Fiasco at St. Lawrence University's annual "SnowBowl" and despite the debauchery, I left the show with several of the bands tunes engrained in my head. The Fiasco's original rock/reggae fusion recalls bands like the Police, G Love, and Talking Heads, while the energy at their shows is second to none...TCF has been turning a lot of heads...with countless university performances and appearances at some of the biggest nightclubs in the northeast, inclusing a packed NYE show at Nectar's. If you haven't seen these guys yet, do yourself a favor; put on your dancing shoes and a diaper and haul ass to Nectar's... - Vermont Cynic

"Body Over Mind - Review"

"This EP reminds us of what makes The Casual Fiasco so great. It's the music. It takes a special band to actually take the jam band sound to a new level and succeed in the world. Phish did it! Dave Matthews Band did it! The Casual Fiasco? They can do it. The sound that we could be hearing in big theaters and arenas all over the country." - This is Modern

"Listen Up!"

"...a mesmerizing sound that has fans in the northeast bouncing."
- Relix Magazine

"Playin' with the Fiasco"

"Like a good pair of patchwork pants, the Fiasco seamlessly blends mountain and island music with quirky narratives and British invasion harmonies to create a unified sound that is truly unique and utterly cohesive... The Fiasco's sound is rooted in the crafting of their songs, deeply hearted in late seventies and early eighties rock and roll... - Campus Activities Magazine
