Rekha

BandPopWorld

Indian influenced world pop. Eclectic. Diverse. Cool grooves and odd meters.

Biography

Rekha brings the flavors of Bombay to her music. Born in Poona, India, she was raised in Washington, D.C., and grew up listening to traditional church music as well as Stevie Wonder on the sly.

Bill Kopper's heart lies in Brazil, but until he can get there he'll just play that way. He also plays a guitar that sounds like a sitar, and composes his own music.

Chris Harris is the son of a preacher man. His job is to hold down the groove with his fat bass lines.

Matt Spencer also plays bass, but not at the same time as Chris. He infuses the music with his Ivory Coast funky lines.

Christian Teele plays both set and various percussion.
