Bio

Reklis was born into a musical family, and fell in love with hip-hop at age 12. He started rhyming over industry beats with cheap equipment and gave self-made mixes to friends and classmates, and this endeavor evolved from a hobby to something more serious, as he began to self-release numerous recordings and mixtapes from 2001-2006.

In 2006, Reklis met rapper Chip City. The two had a great chemistry in the studio and together created "Reklis Radio Volume Three," the third edition of the Reklis mixtape series. These sessions found the pair teaming with DJ Meb Crungle, as well as P-Rovah and Lb of the Trapjaw family, and a few other underground artists. Reklis and Chip City then began to perform in venues throughout New York and New England, creating a big buzz and a new fanbase.

In 2007, Reklis found himself running back and forth between his gig working for Diddy at Bad Boy Entertainment in New York, and his studio in New Hampshire, where he and Chip City worked on "Reklis Radio Volume Four."

By 2008, Reklis and crew had established a label called Rekington Music, and welcomed three new MC's to the roster: Dizzy, Anormous, and Luz Cannon. Dizzy, a fellow native of NH, had met Reklis in 2007 and the two created the underground banger, "Blaze It Up," which was featured on the debut album for the label, "Reklis Radio Volume Four." Luz Cannon, hailing from New Jersey, met Reklis through a mutual friend in 2008 while Reklis was working for Diddy. The two scheduled a recording session and did a solo track for Luz, which ultimately evolved into "Sour Apple", also found on Volume Four. Chip City's "Animal Crate Kulecta" is now the central focus for the label, but future projects include Anormous's "Magnum Member", Dizzy's "Dizzyland", along with solo outings for Reklis and Luz.

With an aggressive radio campaign focused on college radio, and including key commercial radio markets as well, "Reklis Radio Volume Four" from Rekington Music is well positioned to make a big impact in 2008 and into the new year.
