Relentless Intent

Drawing talent from both coasts, Relentless Intent (R.I.) is a Miami & Seattle based hip-hop team producing raw movement music that offers reflections about society today based upon the life and times of its two main emcees, Marley “Crookz” Brooker and D. Jones.

"Our music represents us as a whole and as individuals" states R.I. rapper D. Jones. "We are making music to reach and connect with people. It's not all about music, it's about enjoying life!"

D. Jones, a Seattle based rapper, was born Dijon Jones in the south end of Seattle in 1985. Music runs in his family, where his mother, aunt and brother are all singers. A natural lyricist, he expresses his life through his writing, where D. Jones shows maturity beyond his years. This is in part due to the fact that he was on his own at an early age. He predictably faced hardships in this world that turns a cold shoulder even to its children, but D. Jones is a survivor. Exhibiting the inner strength of a great emcee, he channels his experiences into material for his rhymes. He notes that he has been influenced by the music of Rakim, 2pac, Biggie, and Jay-Z.

Prior to joining Relentless, D. Jones was and a member of 3 Strikes, a Seattle based rap label. In 2005, it was CEO Moe Black that introduced D. Jones to Crookz a couple years ago. The two quickly realized they were kindred spirits dedicating significant time to the studio and soon performing together in well-attended shows in the greater puget sound.

Born 25 years ago in Miami, Asa Ferguson II, now known to his peers as Marley “Crookz” Brooker is the founder of Relentless Intent/R.I. Entertainment and a living example of the maxim "it ain't where you're from, it's where you're at". The Miami-based rapper, poet, producer and former University of Washington student has lived everywhere from the East Coast to the West Coast to the Dirty South. Throughout his travels, Crookz passion for Hip Hop grew as he was able to relate hip hop to life's struggles and lessons. With family in the Bahamas and stints in Miami, Boston, New Jersey and New York, the cultural influences on the young musician have been varied and deep and show themselves in the flexibility and variety of his style. For Crookz, his music is heart felt, vibing only what's real and true regarding life, love, the struggle and the block.

Relentless Intent is set on raising awareness of outstanding issues facing everyday people in these trying times. Bringing people together as a whole and improving society are high on R.I.’s list of things to do. As Crookz explains, "There's plenty of things going on that are unspoken that society as a whole turns a blind eye to and I feel like It’s my job to help people wake up, realize these things, and help them contribute to fixing issue’s plaguing society and humanity.

In addition to the two Lead MCs, which serve as the back bone for Relentless, Businessman & MC Ghost Capone completes the interior R.I. family. So understand Relentless is a simple concept but contains an intricate structure. “We are here 2 bring change to a world that is in dyer need & help lead the movement!”
