Bio

Heavily influenced by major Rap artists Bone Thugz & TechN9ne. André Butler began delving and concentrating on writing his street floetry in 1998. Improving upon his rap writing skills and flow for 3 years straight and without a resource and clue as to how he would enter the local DC Rap scene. Upon improving his rhyme skills and flow, André dubbed himself Relentlezz Dre and set out on his personal journey to attend local shows and events. And by chance, one day, he meets De’Aticus of Flip The Script Entertainment, where they networked and cliqued up together. Sometime later André would record his first professional track with De’Aticus in 2001 at Horizon Studios in Maryland.

From there André Butler would set out on his own and decided he would work his day job and pay for his own beats and record his own songs at City Vibe Recordings in Maryland from late 2001 to late 2002. To promote himself; André would burn and give out more than 260 CDs [2 songs] in MD & DC for promotional reasons to little or no avail. But in the summer of 2002, he returned to his beginnings for another collaborative recording session with De’Aticus on a track called “Every Uprise, There’s A Downfall” (unreleased). He has also done collaborative work with his closest Rap affiliates and friends: Flaw & Poppi. But due to creative differences, André decided to split from recording at City Vibe Recording studio and ventured into looking for a new place to call home.

ENTER: 48th/49th Records.

In November 2002, Relentlezz and Skinny Corleone hooked up and from there negotiations began in early 2003 and soon after Dre signed a recording agreement with 48th/49th Records to assist in furthering his music career, knowledge and aspirations in the Hip Hop genre.

With the similar looks of a Xzhibit and Flesh Bone, the mid-west flow of a Bone Thugs, the cockiness of Jay-Z and with a credible and respected label like 48th/49th Records behind him, Relentlezz Dre is poised to make an impact and some noise in the Hip Hop/Rap scene.

Look for Relentlezz Dre to appear on several Mix Tapes/CDs and collaborations with local and other underground acts across the country as well as his own debut album titled: “Tha Rel 1” COMING SOON!!

Relentlezz Dre is set to appear on local DC area Online and Satellite Radio stations. The lead single for his upcoming debut album is currently getting mad love and spins at WCH Radio and their Sirius Satellite Program, Arizona State University College radio and more coming soon.

He is also featured on a track with a local artist named ELO that is getting spins in Fayetteville, NC as well.

We are looking to submit his lead single "4Ever" to more Online as well as College radio stations around the country.
