Bio

I go by the name of Reles, and I have been rapping since I was thirteen years old. Hip Hop is in my DNA. I love it and I want to be a part of the history and movement that Hip Hop has brought about. Since I was a boy I have been honing my skills to one day become one of the greats and make a mark on the industry whether through the underground or signed to a record label. During this path that I have walked musically, I have met some extraordinary people that have helped me to find my voice, and shape the way that I write and think before I record.

My style is not that of your typical rapper. I try to be smart with my syntax. My delivery is for lack of a better word, impeccable. My voice is strong and has a unique quality that stands out on a track unmistakably to those who have been privileged enough to hear the music that I have created. Performing is something that I love to do. To see people vibe to your song is something that will never grow old. Just the idea of having fans is crazy becuase I have not yet reached my peak, but it lets me know that what I am doing is not in vain. My influences musically stem from a wide array of genres like: Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, and even Country music. I mean I could listen to KRS-One, then pop in some Led Zeppelin and follow it up with old-school David Ruffin. Even a little Piano Concerto No. 21, Mozart, my motto is you never know what can inspire you.

I have done a ton of events to showcase my talent. I've rocked The House in Virginia Beach, the Peppermint Beach Club also, The Black Label Talent Showcase and, just recently, the Blackcard Media Va Unity Awards. I see myself making an impact on every genre of music and not only that, the world. I want to be an influence to people musically as well. I personally want to transcend not only genres of music, but time; to be considered classic is what I strive for. I see the way things are and ask why not a different way, a smarter way, because at the end of the day I am Hip Hop and Hip Hop is a culture, so I feel its time to change the culture of Hip Hop.
