Born and raised to two loving parents in the Breukelen Housing Projects in Canarsie, Brooklyn, the young man known to his family as Karell Moses was no stranger to struggle and hard work. Exposed to hip-hop at an early age by his father, a young Karell recalls the affect listening to the SugarHill Gang and GrandMaster Flash and the Furious 5 had on him. Whether he was dancing to the groove of “Rapper’s Delight” or soaking in meaning behind “The Message,” he knew the music spoke to him. Through his family’s efforts he would be able to attend high school in Connecticut and it was there that he really began to understand that he was no mere teenager; instead he realized that his childhood love for hip-hop was beginning to manifest itself in a more profound manner. After dabbling around with a few crude attempts at honing his skills, Karell Moses made the decision to take it to the next level and that point, Rellz was born.

Currently touring the country while introducing his new “Guapanese” language to his current and newly found followers, Rellz has also linked up with his business partner, Cumal Gray to form Breukelen Nation, which a full fledged entertainment company. Following in the footsteps of his NY predecessors and influences, Fabolous, Mobb Deep, and WuTang Clan, Rellz is positioning himself to be the next versatile and multitalented MC out of New York by putting Breukelen on the map. With multiple performances for Hot 97, opening for Maino, and several shows across the nation, this Canarsie rapper is what the game has been lacking.
