Remington Brown & Alternative States

Alternative States -Trio always wanted to put multiple genres into there music to better express there entire personality. they
said, “we rather not just do Rap or Hip Hop Music as a career.lead
singer electric guitarist Remington Brown said I’d rather do something
more suburban and hipster. That was my original passion growing up in
Orange County, Remington was raised in the small, Progressive town of
Efland. Growing up, he was raised into Hipster Rock listening to folk
artists like Dave Mathews, John Mayer and Jewel. Although Brown is
originally from Orange County, he attended high school at Northern High
School in Durham As he said, “it’s Awesome to attend school in a
different town than where you are from.” Remington Brown is now a
college student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Brown
also happens to have Aspergers Syndrome and for a while, never imagined
attending a four-year university.
“I kept getting told college
wasn’t for me. my teachers told me I could go to a community college
but i could not go to a four year college.
Currently, he is doing
internships at a hipster church in Greensboro as a Sound Board Engineer
He also was an indie dj at WUAG UNCG college radio station Remington
recently launched his first album called Afro Punk 2014 on iTunes and
Google play. He is now collaborating with local Alternative Bands.
& Through his music, Remington hopes to be a role model for
equality.
