"Top Notch Entertainers"

"In addition to great bluegrass musicianship, Pennsylvania's colorful Remington Ryde knows something about ENTERTAINING! A session with them evokes the fun audiences had with the likes of Don Reno & Red Smiley...." - Bill Knowlton

"Show Band"

"One of the most entertaining bands in the bluegrass circuit today. They stay true to traditional bluegrass as well." - Evan Carl

"New CD Review"

Remington Ryde was formed in late 2002 for the purpose of promoting bluegrass music in Pennsylvania. They have released five albums and one single. “I'll wait for you” has been played by bluegrass radio stations throughout the country.

Their latest cd “The Ryde” has just been released on Green Valley Records. The band offers superb musicianship, tight harmonies, traditional and contemporary vocals. All of which are are evident on this superb collection.

The majority of the cuts were written by lead vocalist Ryan Frankhouser. The new tunes have such a traditional feel they could have been recorded decades ago. There are several stand outs. “Four Letter Word” is the first cut on the album. It is shows off both the vocal and instumental talents of the band.

“Puddle of Tears” is an upbeat heartbreaking classic that pleads “don't let me lay here in a puddle of tears.”

“Springtime on the Brandywine” is a banjo picking goodtime trip. “Where you gonna Hide” is a gospel tune that sows of the bands four part harmony. “Dizzy” is a fantastic example of mandolin cross picking.

I don't like making comparisons. I prefer to let the music stand on it's own. Regional bands almost require a comparison to let you know what you are getting into. This collection reminds very much of the original Country Gentleman. If you enjoy them you will like this cd.

Over all this is a more than enjoyable “Ryde.”

You can get the bands touring schedule, hear audio samples, and purchase the cd on the band's website at or you can download individual tracks or the entire cd at

The band gives 110% on every performance, from their entertaining and energetic stage personalities to the lively interaction and conversation with any and all who visit after the show.
