Much like Wyclef Jean, Renald is Haitian-born and Brooklyn-raised. His exposure led to his appreciation for so many different cultures and styles and thus his ability to create any genre of music. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, vocal arranger and rapper. With a voice reminiscent of Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris, a production style similar to Timbaland and Will.I.Am, a songwriting style inspired by contemporary writers Claude Kelly and Ryan Tedder, and the intricate vocal arrangements of Brandy, Renald Francouer is a rare breed in the entertainment industry.

Renald began his craft in the church—singing, arranging, and playing the piano for any audience willing to listen. No stranger to the stage, he took his church roots and transformed it into a Gospel quartet called Beyond Us, which he formed while in college. Described as a Gospel version of Boyz II Men, Beyond Us was featured on BET’s hit show, 106th and Park. They performed an original song written by Francouer. After their performance and their brief interview with former hosts AJ and Free, Beyond Us gained a local fan base in New York and a number of fans across the United States who had seen their performance. While performing with Beyond Us, Renald began expanding his songwriting and musicianship to include Hip Hop and R&B.

When the group dismantled, he continued to hone his singing, songwriting, and production skills by working with local talent. His production repertoire includes many genres, such as Hip Hop, Pop, Pop/Rock, Rock, Techno, R&B, Reggaeton, Reggae and Gospel. He has worked with local New York rappers, R&B singers, Reggaeton artists, Gospel artists, and Rock bands. As a singer, his influences include Tank, Wanya Morris, and Stevie Wonder.

He has had his tracks placed on Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, The Real World: Hollywood, The Real World: Cancun, Bad Girls Club, Styl’d, and Living Lohan. Francoeur also landed a national campaign. He is the vocalist and vocal producer for the Rockwell remake “Somebody’s Watching Me” in the Geico “Kash” commercials for their 21-month campaign.
