"Renata's songwriting always captures my attention. Her words are unique, interesting, emotionally magnetic, and the melodies and chord changes are full of delightful surprises. I always look forward to hearing her latest creations."

Bio
Renata was born and raised in an artistic family in the coastal city of Recife, Brazil. Growing up, she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with her siblings and friends in social and family events, especially if the event was somewhere near the beach.
She moved to Seattle in 2004 after getting married to the love of her life. It was not until a few years later that she realized that a big part of hers was left in Brazil: music. Knowing she couldn’t bring back the music experiences of her youth, she decided to create music herself.
Renata has been writing songs since 2009, and in 2011 she decided to devote her time completely to music. Her work is influenced by great singer-songwriters around the world such as Regina Spektor (US), Angus & Julia Stone (Australia), and Adriana Calcanhotto (Brazil). She currently studies Music Theory, Harmony & Ear Training at Berklee Music and frequently plays in music venues in the Seattle area.
