Lyrics

Cougartown

Written By: Renee Eileen

I got a late night ring from my girl Geraldine
Braggin’ bout her new young fling
She said he’s half my age but that’s OK
Cause he brings out the wild side in me
So she got me thinkin’, after a long night of drinkin
That a young boy might be what I need
I pull my short skirt out put my high heels on.
Cougar Town just might be for me.

Bridge:
If Liz Taylor did it with what’s his name
They met at rehab he, was half her age
Desperate Housewives, the pool boy fling
Now look at Demi and Ashton, what a beautiful thing!

Chorus:
I’m a cougar now and I’m out on the prowl
Got all the young guys checkin’ me out
I guess I’ll find out what they’re talkin’ about
Watch out boys, I’m comin’ out

I jump in my sports car and head down to the bar
I guess Ill give this new thing a whirl
While my girls and I are havin’ a time
A boy yells from across the floor
He says, “Hey cutie pie, take me for a ride
Let’s live on the wild side!”
I say, “Hey, big boy, are you ready for more?”
And then I let out a roar

Bridge
If Liz Taylor did it with what’s his name
They met at rehab he, was half her age
Desperate Housewives, the pool boy fling
Now look at Demi and Ashton, what a beautiful thing!

Chorus
I’m a cougar now and I’m out on the prowl
Got all the young guys checkin’ me out
I guess I’ll find out what they’re talkin’ about
C’mon Girls

The juke box was playin’ some old country song
When the boy walks up to me
He sets my drink down and he twirls me around
I’m so dizzy now all I can see
Are his two strong arms a white t-shirt
And his tight faded Wrangler jeans
He’s gettin’ high fives from all his frat guys
When they see him goin’ home with me

All right girls, I’m a cougar now!

Tim & Faith

Written By: Renee Eileen

I’m just a small town country girl at heart,
I had to fly away and make a brand new start.
All my hopes and dreams led me far away,
From the love I left behind like Tim and Faith.

Takin’ trips with you, drivin’ down the A1A,
Watching the sun go down at Lu Lu's Cafe
I heard our favorite song,
And I closed my eyes and prayed
Would I take the chance and do it all again?

Chorus:
Baby I wanna come back home to a love I just can’t shake,
Being here without you is more than I can take.
Promised dreams don't mean a thing to me I gotta say
I miss that love like Tim and Faith.

Fancy things and diamond rings can’t heal my heart
Chasing a dream doesn't mean a thing when were apart
I left a happy home with warm loving arms
Now it’s easy for me to realize what’s true to my heart.

Chorus
Baby I wanna come back home to a love I just can’t shake,
Being here without you is more than I can take.
Promised dreams don't mean a thing to me I gotta say
I miss that love like Tim and Faith.

Nothing compares to a love so pure and true
Where the sun is always shining,
But my heart is feeling blue
If I could turn back the hands of time
I would second guess my move
Would I take the chance and do it all again?

You’re my Tim and I'm you’re Faith
You’re my Tim and I'm you’re Faith
You’re my Tim and I'm you’re Faith
You’re my Tim and I'm you’re Faith

Chorus
Baby I wanna come back home to a love I just can’t shake,
Being here without you is more than I can take.
Promised dreams don't mean a thing to me I gotta say
I miss that love like Tim and Faith.

Devil's Got a Hold on You

Written By: Renee Eileen

I know you got good intentions
But that just ain’t enough
Even though you’re so convincing
I know it’s not the last time
It's been so hard for me
I want to give it up
But I see the good in you
You’re a diamond in the rough

Oh baby why can’t you see that
Stuff’s no good for you
And it's killin’ you and me
When you crashed your car
And you were blessed to walk away
I thought you hit your bottom then
When is it gonna be the end?

Chorus:
Is it gonna be the pills and the bottle?
My love just ain’t enough
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you
When you swear on your children’s life
That it’s the last time
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you

I don't want to play second fiddle to your habit anymore
I want to stand by you
God knows I've tried
You have everything a man could ever want
But you’re throwin’ it all away
For cheap thrills, booze and drugs
Oh Lord he's down on his knees
And don't give up on him
Break his chains and set him free
When you lost your job and we almost lost everything
I thought you said you'd seen the light
When are you going to get this right?

Chorus
Is it gonna be the pills and the bottle?
My love just ain’t enough
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you
When you swear on your children’s life
That it’s the last time
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you

Chorus
Is it gonna be the pills and the bottle?
My love just ain’t enough
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you
When you swear on your children’s life
That it’s the last time
Oh baby, the devil’s got a hold on you

The devil’s got a hold on you

Summer Vacation

Written By: Renee Eileen

Summer vacation is almost here, and I just can't wait
Got my new bikinis packed now, with all my summer things
They'll be here by eight
We’re headin’ down the Georgia border line
All those sweet fresh peaches for sale at road side
If we hurry we can be there by nine
Last one there's a rotten egg

Chorus:
Florida keys with my sister and me
The smell of coconut oil
Blowin’ in the breeze
Margaritas all day
Skinny dippin’ at night
The blue green waters here
Always feel just right
Oh yeah

Hot summer nights dress codes casual here
Just bikinis and sarongs
The reggae music’s pumpin’ from the barefoot bar
We’re dancin’ and were singin’ along

Not many changes from year after year
My little sister Stacey went and got her belly button pierced
Forgot to mention my new butterfly tatoo
When I dance in my bikini here it’s peekin’ out at you

Chorus
Florida keys with my sister and me
The smell of coconut oil
Blowin’ in the breeze
Margaritas all day
Skinny dippin’ at night
The blue green waters here
Always feel just right
Oh yeah

Bridge:
For ten years straight now
Summer vacation in the Florida Keys
For three long months
Just like when we were kids
My three sisters and me

Chorus
Florida keys with my sister and me
The smell of coconut oil
Blowin’ in the breeze
Margaritas all day
Skinny dippin’ at night
The blue green waters here
Always feel just right
Oh yeah

Believe in You

Written By: Renee Eileen

Ten years old walkin’ home from that swimmin’ hole
Everything standin’ still as we heard that tornado siren blow
My friend Brett said quick jump in that street hole
We held on to each other tight as we heard that wind blow
He said it's gonna be alright
Just believe in Him
Like red light, green light
Just freeze and be still

Chorus:
Believe in you
When everything is right it's a green light
Believe in you
Helped me through the pain of the dark and lonely nights
I know it's true
Miracles happen every day from me and you
I believe

My fondest memories as a kid was playin’ in that backyard
We played red light, green light
Freeze tag and hide and go seek
One day my parents came and they sat me down
They said sweetheart Brett's not gonna be comin’ around
something happened and his family's plane went down
Now he's watchin’ from heaven and he's smilin’ down

Chorus:
Believe in you
When everything is right it's a green light
Believe in you
Helped me through the pain of the dark and lonely nights
I know it's true
Miracles happen every day from me and you
I believe

Bridge:
I often sit and think about
How you were my hero
It's because of you I believe in him

Chorus with Gospel Choir:

Believe in you
When everything is right it's a green light
Believe in you
Helped me through the pain of the dark and lonely nights
I know it's true
Miracles happen every day from me and you
I believe

I couldn't of made it this far without you
I believe
