Bio

Renee Gardner isn’t your average soul singing- indie artist. Building a solid reputation for her work behind the scenes, Renee is ready to launch her own career in the midst of a changing music industry. Resurrecting the energy of Lauryn Hill mixed with Erykah Badu, and other top singers and songwriters throughout the times, the self-proclaimed HipHopSoulstress has captured the attention of the hip-hop community that she worked so hard to positively push forward through her platforms.

Renee is no stranger to the media. During a job contributing articles and interviews to an online site, the songwriter wrote a poem that literally went viral, attracting the attention of BBC Radio, NewsOne, Rolling Stone, and popular gossip blogs including Perez Hilton and Bossip. Renee’s interviews and music reviews also received reactions from their popular subjects, one being featured on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. Gardner’s platforms including the HipHopTownHall has received local press since it’s inception in 2014.

Since releasing her own music to major platforms in February 2016, Renee, socially and affectionately known as ReneetheG, has received major support from her core supporters and Atlanta’s indie community. She has also been featured on Hip Hop Weekly, Yahoo! Finance, as well as popular R&B and Soul blog, SingersRoom.com. Still early in her career, Gardner has shared the stage with Anthony David, Janelle Monae’s Wondaland Group St. Beauty, Taylor Gang’s Tuki Carter, Young Money’s Shanell, Quentin Miller and more.

Renee Gardner’s music can be found on iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, TIDAL, Spotify and more as she prepares to release the Peace of Mind EP, an introduction to the album she has been working on for 3 years.  Renee Gardner plans on going as far as she can independently. “It’s a new day and a new time. As artists, we need to stop being afraid to step out on our own - especially if we know the formula.”
