The Renee Myara Quartet is a new breed which defies the laws of conventional jazz. RMQ is an edgy infusion of jazz, rock, and singer songwriter. From root influences extending as far as Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday , Sting , Norah Jones and Prince… to The Used and My Chemical Romance. RMQ is a collaboration of musicians who’s history spans the music industry gamut and who have performed in venues ranging from The Roxy to The Staples Center. These four seasoned talents have come together with the objective to create without compromise.
Bassist Michael “MG” Grate, drummer David “Aubs” Aubrey and saxophonist Jeremy “Wass” Wasser complete the enigma of singer songwriter/pianist Renee Myara. With an honest interpretation of life, people and the human condition, her lyrical content speaks to the listeners in the complex language of the heart and soul.
