Bio
A band sounding like no other, Detroits Rescue bring a potent mix of intricate guitars, start/stop breaks, personal vocals to the mini-LP "Flamingo Minutes", the bands third release in as many years.
Recorded with longtime producer Mark Haines (ARCHERS OF LOAF, RAINER MARIA) at Smart Studios in Madison, the band has been able to take a break from their relentless touring and focus on the intricacies of their new material. While Rescues youthful restlessness share a likeness to Braid, their blending of complicated song structures and heavy choruses have been known to bring comparisons to Cursive and At the Drive-In.
Rescue began as a side project in the late months of the year 2000, but after noticeable praise, the band quickly took top priority over each members respective previous endeavors. In the mere 3 years since their inception the band has completed nearly a dozen tours in the US and Canada, released one EP & one full length (recently re-issued by Forge Again Records as a double disc with bonus rarities), a split 7 and built a fiercely loyal fan-base from their unrelenting live performances and the constant months spent in the van touring.
"Flamingo Minutes" is a proof that Rescue possesses a sense of importance and urgency found in so few bands.
