"CDR June 2007 Review"

'..A hotly tipped act this - Mr Hudson (also in the session last night) was waxing lyrical about this project and how good it is. Butterfly is original, contemporary pop, bound to do well. Respect! A cat playing a vocoder too, we like that..'

Bio

After being involved in several successful musical projects, most notably as guitarist for Mr Hudson and The Library (Mercury) and bass player for Pig Out (Pinacolada NZ), Rescue Cat decided to go it alone as solo artist in late 2006. A few years as an arranger and producer for other diverse acts (Mohanski/Smooth Hound Sharks/Louise Golbey) have given Rescue Cat a wide and varied musical landscape to work with. His musical influences range from pure pop, to hip-hop, via post-punk, electronica and straight ahead rock n roll. Rescue Cat’s work in previous bands has taken him to many places, including some memorable shows in New York, Edinburgh and Paris.
Rescue Cat played his first show in April 2007 for the celebrated North London graffiti artists ‘London Frontline’ at their gallery show at the infamous Flaxon Ptootch in Kentish Town. Gigs on the London open mic/acoustic circuit followed as did a support slot with old friends Mr Hudson and The Library on their recent tour.
Recent radio play on BBC 6, XFM Manchester and Talk Sport has lead to a few dates booked outside of London including Leicester, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
