Residue

Residue is a modern, hard-rock band from Austin, TX and is comprised of Brent Barnett (drums), Mike Carpenter (guitar), Ryan Landry (bass), and Corey Trahan (vocals). Although the band was only formed in March 2009, it is comprised of veteran musicians who have been a part of the Texas music scene for many years. Residue can be considered a career continuation of the past project "Litany for the Departed", since four of the five members previously played in Litany. Although short-lived, Litany became a successful regional act rather quickly, opening for numerous national acts such as Powerman 5000, Adema, Hurt, etc. One stark difference between the two bands is the transition from female vocalist, Amanda Lombard, to male vocalist, Corey Trahan. Previous members of Litany believe that this transition will be much easier for hard rock listeners to swallow, yielding a more marketable sound - one without consistent comparisons to the few female-fronted, hard rock National acts.
