The world of rock is ever-changing with a new flavor every month. One person's definition of metal, emo, grunge, or punk is not another's. One thing remains the same however...ROCK is forever and is defined by bands that surpass the test of time; bands that believe in music as the definition of emotional creativity and a vehicle to harness something more powerful than a fad. Originality and pride in indifference, as opposed to setting out to be whatever the current flavor of the month is.
Once in a great while a band comes along that is impossible to ignore, capturing the pure essence of relatable feelings and emotions. They strike the central nervouse system with originality and raw emotion.
Resolve to Burn is one of those bands. With the release of their debute album, Process of Elimination, the band is turning heads on a national level with this brutally honest tale of love loss and the emotional roller coaster that follows. One listen to Process of Elimination and you know the band on an intimate level, as you can relate to the struggles and pain conveyed lyrically, and the musical diversity which capitalizes on the emotional impact.

Founded in 2005 by front man Aaron Smith, the band has been described as a culmination of influence and inspiration. Finely capturing the essence of raw emotion; conveyed through a canvas that filters influence far beyond the boundaries of rock, resulting in a diverse catalog of music within the rock spectrum.
Resolve to Burn brings the listener a vast array of different influences, from Good Charlotte to Tool, Metallica to U2, Papa Roach to STP, Cold Play to Avenge 7, which may or may not be easy to classify, but results in a very original blend of rock, riddled with hooks in every song.
When asked what the meaning behind the band name was, the answer from front man, Aaron Smith was simply, "we have so much resolve to finish the fight, that we could burn the excess and still have more than enough to spare. Failure is not an option.”
That philosophy has paid great dividends as the band as earned opening slots on Taste of Chaos and with acts such as Halestorm, The Used, My Chemical Romance, and more! Not to mention slots on countless internet radio stations and regular airplay on local radio stations such as 100.5 The Zone, KWOD 106.5, and 98 Rock, Sacramento's Leading rock stations.
With the recent release of the band's lastest EP, "Down in Flames," the band is turning heads and earning fans on a national level.
