"Stay Close to Me," 2007 LP
"Things Could Be Different This Time," 2008 EP

Paul Erik Lipp, 25, and Jordan Lipp, 23, are the core of Restless Radio, a rock quartet currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Paul (vocals, guitars, etc.) and Jordan (drums, backing vocals, etc.) grew up in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and have been playing together in rock and jazz bands for more than ten years. Their dynamic musical relationship is characterized by a distinctive shared aesthetic and the collision of Paul's inventive songwriting and Jordan's imaginative, virtuosic drumming.

"Stay Close to Me", on which the lineup also includes bassist Osaj Begin, is Restless Radio’s full-length debut. The album is a non-autobiographical break-up album inspired by relationships both observed and imagined. The ten tracks are notable for their diversity, for their equal commitment to complexity and catchiness, for their lyrical precision and the way they navigate earnestness and irony with equal aplomb.

Amidst skittering drums in “How to Love,” we hear from a bereft, slightly dim husband after his wife has gone for what seems like no reason at all. On the prog-rock-informed "Departures," the lyrics detail (in an eerily certain future-tense) a seemingly fated relationship beginning on a train ride.

"Stay Close to Me" was self-produced and self-recorded over a year with virtually no budget. It was self-released on Dec. 28, 2007. Live, the band also includes new members Ben Andrews (bass) and Ben Levy (guitars, vocals). Restless Radio are currently assembling an East Coast tour for Spring 2008.
