Reston

Growing up in Northern Virginia, Reston emerged from a musical world full of trends only to stay true to the roots that influenced them. Reston is a band of close friends who found themselves in the maze of local music in the NO. Va area. We formed 2 years ago when I (Ryan, singer) formed with a local alt. band named Fat Ringo. We played only one show under that name and from then on we were Reston. Sadly, the day came for my band members to retire from the band and move on with their college dreams. This left Reston with only two members left, Matt (guitar) and myself. Not too long after that I ran into Kevin (drums) at a CD release party for another local band near us. We talked for a long while, I said briefly I was in a band but we were talking about other things and everyday life. I left the party never really expecting to hear from him again. He told me that he didn't know I was in the band Reston and he wanted to try out. He blew Matt's and my mind! He was then on board. Trent (bass) had not played in 3 months when he tried out for our band. He was a old friend of mine so I was pumped for him to play. The chemistry worked. We have been Reston ever since. We recorded in Sterling Productions Ltd. and released our cd to great acclaim so far. Right now we are currently out supporting our independanltly released cd, You've Arrived. The main thing that sets us apart from other bands in our commitment to ourselves and our dreams of being musicians. We write songs of pure emotional truth. People relate to our songs because there is no cheesiness to them, they are straight up rock songs with soul.
