RETREAUX ( Pronounced Retro) is a group comprised of some of the Bay Area’s most accomplished musicians, who have come together to play the music they love. Covering songs ranging from the ‘50s through the ‘90’s. Rock, Pop, Rhythm & Blues, whatever style the audience craves the band can play and leave them wanting more.

The core group is comprised of seven of the area’s most coveted players. The band can get any crowd on it’s feet dancing and singing along with their favorite songs.

Bonnie Jean Cahill – A world class professional vocalist who has toured the world and recorded with Jose’ Feliciano, Johnny Nash, and appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. She supplies lead and back-up vocals. Bonnie fronts the band with a magnetic presence and a crystalline voice.

Sissy Parsons – Another world class lead Vocalist with a voice that has been compared to Janis Joplin and Etta James. Sissy has played all over the Bay Area in several of the top bands in Northern California.

Jack Cutter – Top-of-the-line rhythm guitarist, again lays down amazing guitar riffs and backing parts. Jack escaped from Buffalo, New York having minored in music at State University of New York at Buffalo while playing in bar bands on the side. Coming to San Francisco, he performed in various acoustic and rock groups for 10 years before becoming a recording engineer and studio owner at Razor’s Edge Recording for the following 10 years. After a hiatus as a software developer, he returned to playing as a solo acoustic musician in 1996 with primarily original acoustic guitar instrumentals. Since then, he has continued acoustically as well as amplified with Retreaux.
Whether his is accurately replicating an already well established lead or letting his imagination flow and creating something new, he sets down the amazing rhythms that keep the audience dancing.

Mark Trujillo – The heartbeat of Retreaux., Mark has over 35 years of experience playing with some of the best musicians in the business from touring as an opening act for The Band and working with the late Stu Blank and Sandy McKee from Cold Blood, Jim Pugh from the Robert Cray Band, Dan Chauncey from .38 Special and Eddie Money. Mark is also a card carrying member of The Alameda All Stars which includes members of The Gregg Allman Band, Night Ranger and 38 Special. He has recorded in studios from Different Fir to the Record Plant doing commercials and jingles before the digital age.

Don Parsons – A powerful drummer and percussionist Played drums for the popular Bay Area band SoulCetra before joining Retreaux. Don also sings harmony vocals, while laying down a beat that cannot be denied.

Jerry Cahill – A long time pro Guitarist, originally from New York, comes to the Bay Area via a long stint in Los Angeles, where he played and recorded with several bands, among them “ Longshot” and “Retrophit” and as a Guitarist on several albums with Lance Legault, a well known Louisiana bluesman. Jerry’s Guitar playing has often been compared to the great Steve Cropper, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. In the Bay Area he played with the Blues Band “ Snake Eyes”, and “N.D.Y.” before teaming up to play and sing with Retreaux.

Kamran Thunder – A remarkable young keyboard player who plays organ, piano and synthesized horn parts on his keyboards. Kamran is simply amazing to listen to and is almost a whole band by himself. Incredibly creative and technically adept, there is almost no limit to what he can do musically. But he enjoys playing with Retreaux and adding the keyboard punch and pizzaz that has become our signature sound

Retreaux is currently available for events around the Bay Area. Over the last several years Members of Retreaux have played on a regular basis at Local venues including The Missouri Lounge, in Berkeley, John Patrick’s in Alameda and Chevy’s Restaurant in Pleasanton, Grant & Green, In San Francisco, and on regular rotation at Ferry Street Station in Martinez. They have also played regularly at upscale private parties, and corporate events, such as the E.B.S. Christmas Party in Pleasanton and the Blue Angels Fleet Week Celebration in San Francisco and the Oroville International Art & Music Festival in Oroville.

For a slight extra fee, Retreaux’s seven member core group can also be fleshed out with a red hot three man horn section and dancers for that extra flare as a stage show that will make any special event all the more memorable. In any combination, Retreaux stands ready to take your party to a whole other level of music and fun.
