New Jersey's own, RetroI$Awesome, is an independent hip-hop recording artist who has become serious force to be reckoned with. As a product of the early 90’s, RetroI$Awesome brings back the feel of intricate lyricism, showcased in his performances with his usual new-school sound filled with heavy 808’s and rapid chops or the occasional boom-bap style. Retro’s music can be found all over the web via sites such as Soundcloud, Spotify, MTV Artists, and Youtube just by searching the name “RetroI$Awesome.” RetroI$Awesome received a significant number of plays on these sites which has resulted in him gaining thousands of followers via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. RetroI$Awesome has done shows in venues all over the North East region of the US, even headlining venues such as Webster Hall in NYC and opening for major artist at Austin, Texas’ South X Southwest Music Festival. RetroI$Awesome comes from humble beginnings, but always knew rapping was going to someday make him famous. On October 29, 2013, RetroI$Awesome launched his first EP “Awesome Expectations.” This EP brought a whirlwind of hype amongst local blogs and a number of national blogs including a post from DJ Enuff, on his blog “That’s Enuff.” Most recently RetroI$Awesome released his newest EP “Cuban Linx,” with his hit single of the same title.
