JB is a Los Angeles based artist hailing from West Hartford, CT. Born and raised in Connecticut's capital city, he is bringing his resilience, positivity and style to the West Coast. Influenced at a young age by Nas, Mike Shinoda, Kanye West, Drake, and J Dilla JB is known for his catchy choruses and unique flow. As a seasoned performer and up and coming audio engineer he has been performing, mixing and producing his own music for the past 10 years! JB has performed at the International Hip Hop Festival in Hartford, CT and opened for Talib Kweli as well as performing in many local venues in Hartford, Los Angeles, New York and Boston. Flipping the current dynamic of hip hop on its head, JB embodies a new movement of integrity, honesty and personal vulnerability in his work. His motto: R.E.T.T.O: Righteous Enough To do The Opposite captures his essence as an artist that stays true to his lived experiences and sound without getting caught up in the lure of fame.
