REVEREND ROBERT SEXTON'S ALL STAR BLUES REVIEW

"Soul Savin Service Station"

Big time records MySpace.com/reverendrobert

For all eternity blues has been called the devils music. Rarely do the sacred words of salvation and the profane rhythms of the devil come together with such showmanship and style. The Reverend Robert Sexton's All Star Blues Review has found if you want to preach to the sinners, you first have to get their attention and shake 'em up before you get down to the business of saving souls. They've got the dark suits and hats, sunglasses , and wailing guitars you'd expect in a blues review, but he's preaching the gospel while rockin your soul.

In their live shows the Reverend is an up front showman, Like a street corner preacher he grabs your attention while spreading the Word backed not by choir boys, but a bunch of hit men welding electric guitars and a rock steady beat. The Reverend Sexton is preaching the gospel while he's rockin the congregation and saving their souls. All of the songs are about spreading a message of "Good News" and "Salvation." They grab your attention and get you on your feet dancing while getting down to the business of savin souls. The Reverend's All Star Blues Review could be considered a true rockin revival meeting.

Accompaniment in this mission from God is his band of brothers, the All Star Blues Review, Matt 'the hat' Zacharias pumps things up on the organ, John 'lighting' Whalen flashing on guitar, Randy 'the General' Patton commanding the bass and Grant Bratton on the drums keeping the rhythm rock steady. Adding to this congregation on two numbers is fellow Detroit blues brother Howard Glazer on slide guitar to "Have Mercy." Howard drives the train down to Clarksdale on "Hopson Plantation," Where these righteous believers praise the holy ground of the crossroads and it's the blues that is the higher calling. After a Saturday night out at the clubs, you can purify your soul and keep your Sunday service rockin with the Reverend Robert Sexton's All Star Blues Review at the "Soul Savin' service Station."

An electrifying, dynamic blues experience that embodies modern blues music. Preaching the blues, this music is a revival of the soul. Big rhythm and groove. In the tradition of Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf and Elmore James, combined with the energy of James Brown and the passion of Billy Graham.

Wolfgang Spider of the Detroit Blues Society Blues Notes describes us best :

"This is a dynamic group with a somewhat wild stage presence. Sexton commands the stage and presents a striking visual as well as musical performance"

The complete package. Professional tight sound and unbelieveable stage presence. Their live performance is a blues extravaganza!
