Reverrse Polarity

Reverrse Polarity is a five piece metal band from Mumbai, India. The band was formed in April ’08 but took off mid-September ‘08. Since then Reverrse Polarity has paved its way in the metal scene gaining recognition and popularity that other bands can only hope to achieve in such a short span of time.

The Band derives its musical compositions from straws of different inspirations. Say hello to the madness-

Gaurav Kataria the vocalist, has been a lover of all kinds of music.Enjoys Progressive Forms More Than Any Other Forms.Believes Only For A Cause.

Viraj Saxena the vocalist, is a major fan of Progressive Rock, House and RnB music. He picked up the art of growling from G.K. ™. Viraj is more of a singer than a growler and adds amazing dimension to the band’s sound. Viraj really looks up to artists like Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Porcupine Tree, Karnivool, etc. He is an exceptional lead guitarist, besides being an incredible singer.

Shikhar Yuvraj Manchanda the lead guitarist, is a Delhi kid who grew up mostly listening to metal. His I-pod consists of Maximum Metal Memory (MMM), besides alternative metal and punk. He enjoys Classic and old-school Rock and idolizes KISS. He started playing when he was 17 and is constantly adapting to various forms and techniques on the guitar. He has formed his own style by mixing funk and blues together. Some of his favorite Indian band are: - Bhyanak Maut, Scribe, Shkabang, Joint Family, The Circus, and Zero.

Jordan Veigas, the bassist and vocalist, is the most experienced musician in the band. He listens to a lot of metal and jazz. Jordan has mastered quite a few bass techniques and has also developed many of his own. He initially started as a guitarist but found his true calling with bass. He also sang in a Jazz choir which shows it’s work in his melodious voice. Jordan is highly inspired by the bassist Ryan martine(mudvayne) Victor Wooten and Nathan West(four play). His vocal inspirations come from Rnb,soul and jazz

Jonathan Fernandes the drummer is a master of various techniques of drumming and has played a range of genres with bands like Dream Out Loud (Pop), Zodiac (Alternative Rock) and Anhad (Hindi). He has featured on a ton of shows for other bands. Jonathan listens to a lot of S-K-A and punk rock, and musicians from those fields are his inspirations.

Reverrse Polarity is constantly reinventing themselves. The band is in the process of recording and launching its first album. They are working with different artists from the Indian music scene and, like always, want their fans to take all they can from them.
These are musicians who represent a common belief. They write about contemporary topics which help them connect to the young generation. The specialty of the band is the subtle Indian touch that they give to all their compositions.

Reverrse Polarity is a killer performance band. Their shows have known to generate hysteria amongst the audience that watches them. While they have an incredibly loyal fan base, they are looking at taking the band to the next level by reaching out to more music lovers across the country and around the world.

Reverrse Polarity possesses tremendous amounts of energy on stage.
