therevolution (Demo)

The story of therevolution started in various churches of Western Tennessee. All four members were raised actively participating in church, which meant playing and singing every Sunday from an early age. Their early influences were very wide ranged from traditional christian hymns, to black gospel choirs, to secular pop and rock bands.

They all lived in very musical households and music was always always a big part of their lives. "As a kid," says drummer Caleb Clark, " we never knew what we would be playing next. We might be playing some soulful gospel song and 5 minutes later we were playing a bluegrass or country tune. In another 5 minutes we would be rocking it out." Caleb continued, "This was the perfect training ground to help us develop something new and unique when we got out on our own."

Since forming the band, the group has explored and developed their own musical style which is drawn from the varied influences that have formed their musical taste. The style they developed sounds like part alternative rock, part soulful blues, part southern rock.

Teamed with Caleb's father, an award winning songwriter, the group has created hit original songs that will have the tune stuck in your head all day. "It's really hard to describe what we do," says guitarist Justin Cobb,"we just play what we like, and it turns out, no one else is doing what we do. The best part is that people love it!"

Bassist Jonathon Smith summed it up by saying " When we play, it just feels right. When it feels right, it sounds amazing" When you hear lead singer, Nate Engler, the black gospel influences are evident in his voice. He has a soulful sound that can't be imitated, either you have it, or you don't. Nate certainly has it!

Take a listen today and I think you will agree that you need to book them for your next event. Do it now, because this group is going places.
