Biography

Dublin based Rock N’ Roll band Revolution For Dogs came to life in 2005 with the band forming from the ashes of other Dublin bands. Some might say that kicking things off in venues such as The Temple Bar Music Centre and Vicar Street isn’t a bad start for a new band. Nor is coming 3rd in the Emergenza Irish final. After a summer of successful gigging and finishing in Whelans - 2006 saw a switch in drummers. Taking to the studio at the end of 2006 with producer Liam Mulvaney(THE RADIO), Revolution For Dogs begin work on their debut album. First out of the trap - “Let Yourself Go” has been described as a “A punchy rock n’ roll number capable of removing the fillings from your teeth”. Songs that followed include the re-worked “Shadow On The City” “Blondie”, “Vampyre of the Soul” and the ever requested foot stompin’…… “Lady Luck”. The debut single “Let Yourself Go” is released on July 2nd 2007 and will be available in Road Records as well as download. The band continue to work on the album only surfacing to play sporadic gigs here and there. The most recent being a seminal set upstairs at Slatterys Rathmines , Dublin. The dogs play several more dates this summer including Whelans in August. Keep an eye on our website for more info. "LET YOURSELF GO" and “LADY LUCK” are available for free download on our site.
