With a tinge of Blues in his voice, Saga One. delivers his thoughts in a compound of rhythm, melodies and most importantly, words.

Growing up with a heavy musical influence from a variety of artists from Sam Cooke to Sizzler, Saga composes songs with elements of the black soul music and creates his own genre-more than Rap or Hip hop, his lyric is the poetic word play on a flow of inner city beats, infusing with disobeying chords of that old jazzy spirit.

Saga is no stranger to stage performance ever since the age of 5, when he was chosen to narrate a poem as a guitarist at a school play. In 7th grade, he wrote his first rap verse over a Stetsasonic beat. At 15, he started creating rhymes earnestly while a notable MC, Chubb Rock being the inspiration as someone growing up on the same block. Over the years, Saga professed himself with countless shows, recordings, practices, and has been praised by the legendary Roy Ayers, after listening to the remake of his soul classic, “Searching,” which Ayers claimed to be one of his favorites. Saga refines not just the talent to rhyme, but the gift to sing. The balance and the intensive mixture of love and hate, rhythm and blues, addictive hooks and provocative lyricism in his music are what engage the crowd, having their hearts dancing in and out of their minds.

In 2012, Saga One goes forward with a brand new album entitled R.I.C. A collection that the world has been missing. A true story of a young brother’s soul in display. Saga will once again, take us onto the journey of a true rebel, in search of the music that turns it all around...
