Reyna Von Chase is a recording artist from Brooklyn, New York integrating her own style of R&B, alternative, and pop. Influenced by the lyrical intricacy of artists such as Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean and Aaliyah, Reyna’s style of writing engages the listener into her world of story telling that one might miss if disregarded. Reyna’s fusion of different genres such as Blues and Hip-Hop, or Hip-Hop and R&B, lures the listener into a beautiful captivity of entendres, vivid paintings, and hazy endings. With blunt, metaphoric singles like “Let A Dog Roam”, and melancholy singles like “Broken Record”, to be released soon, display the contrasts of her musical assortment.

Raised in a generation, where life and love was imitated and delegated by pop culture, Reyna sought reality through music. Through her manic creativity, she depicted the ugly truths of everything the world made beautiful. And manifested beauty from what was known to be repulsive. Tragedies, happy endings and everything in between began her musical process.

Reyna’s early beginnings in Brooklyn was spent behind a window guard listening to country singer, Lorrie Morgan’s “Greatest Hits”, captive from her own dreams, and captive to her parents demands. Assuming there had to be more than life then what she was told, Reyna abandoned the conventional life that others around her seem to adopt and fall in like dominoes. Ironically Reyna fell in to another set of dominoes. As quoted from Reyna she lived “in the Big Apple; the city of dreams. The hardest, yet easiest place to get your clouds to burst beneath the seams.” Comparing herself to the other thousands of dreamers racing for a spot at the top. Without doubt, and without regret, Reyna Von Chase’s fearless attitude towards her aspirations speak through her work continuously and effortlessly.
