"Rhayne," a perfect name for Vancouver’s own recording artist, who is now releasing her self titled CD "Rhayne". Internationally, she is being recognized for her sultry voice and lyrical song writing.
Rhayne and her six-piece band, are playing Cityfest, Saturday, June 12, at the PNE Fairgrounds. Cityfest is a free weekend long multi-cultural event highlighting talent like Rhayne’s.
Born in Victoria, Rhayne studied dance and music and performed in several shows at the MacPherson Playhouse. As an adult, she has gained international recognition as a successful recording artist, singer-songwriter and music producer.
The CD “Rhayne” is creating a buzz in the international music community with it’s well-crafted songs. Music directors rave about Rhayne’s “sultry voice, which is both soulful and sensual” as well as having “beautiful texture and great range.” She’s been compared to an edgy Madonna, Kylie Minogue, or an upbeat Sade. Her voice, lyrics, songwriting and music blend well, creating a memorable sound.
An Australian music review raves,"her tracks create great moods for dancing, loving or just relaxing to her rich vocal melodies and hypnotizing rhythms."
Songs from her Rhayne CD are spinning now in clubs and radio shows in New York, New Jersey USA, Australia and now Vancouver. DJ's in New York and New Jersey have given this Rhayne CD several top written scores of 5/5 and 4/5 from their evaluations and floor response at several clubs these cities.

My new track "Don't Stop Me' placed in the UK Song Writing Competition Semi finals. This track also is charting on ILR radio, Newcastle, Australia. Dance house track, 'You're My Fantasy,' went to a number 1 position for nine weeks on ILR radio. Rhayne's dance, chill pop and some R&B tracks are strong, spinning in clubs in several countries, Australia, U.S.A. and Canada. Rhayne's track "Strange," is now airing on Clear FM 104.9 Vancouver's nightly "Chill Show," also station, Ocean Fm Victoria is also airing Strange nightly. Her dance tracks "Eve' and 'Without You" aired in radio mix shows, stations KTU FM in New York/New Jersey and Montreal's Mix 96 FM. On this "Rhayne CD," Rhayne sang, co-wrote and co-produced these marketable radio hits and club trx.
Rhayne started performing song and dance for musical theatre productions through out her entire childhood in prestigious theatres like MacPherson Playhouse in Victoria B.C. Rhayne has taught dance and voice to thousands in Vancouver B.C. As well as choreographing music videos, she is a professional vocal coach as well as a hip hop and jazz dance teacher. These skills have contributed to her becoming an amazing vocalist, performer and great songwriter. At the begining of her music career she performed as a back up vocalist for a touring English band, playing in arenas packed with thousands of fans. She quickly realized when singing lead, audiences adored her. This extensive arts background has given Rhayne all her star qualities for public performance.
