"CD press release"

There has been a pretty good buzz about the new disc by Rhino Bucket, so I had no choice but to check it out. It has been 12 long years since we have had a new Rhino Bucket disc, and judging from the killer tunes on this disc, I hope we will get a new disc with fresh tunes before another decade passes.

As you probably know, Rhino Bucket is often compared to Bon Scott era AC/DC, and the sound here has not changed. In 2007, AC/DC fans have three choices: they can a) play their old CD’s until they etch grooves into them, b) stick their head in a paper bag and scream loudly, or c) go buy the new Rhino Bucket disc. (I recommend c )

This disc will not disappoint any hard rock fans out there. …And Then It Got Ugly features the kickass vocals of Georg Dolivo, and the excellent rocking guitar of former Kix axe slinger, Brian Forsythe. I have quite a few favorites on this disc including Welcome to Hell, Don’t Bring Her Down, She Rides, Smile and Blood Sweat and Beers.

This is a fine collection of 80’s style hard rock, that will appeal to all AC/DC, Kix and most Hard Rock Fans in general! Don’t miss this one!

Warning! The videos below, may make your credit card jump out of your wallet and order this disc from ITunes immediately.

"Review from sleazeroxx.com"

There are few things in life one can count on. Among them are the sun coming up every day, Vince Neil getting drunk, Michael Jackson doing inappropriate things with children and Rhino Bucket serving up AC/DC influenced three-chord swagger.
For me personally, news of a new Rhino Bucket album made And Then It Got Ugly one of the most anticipated releases of 2006. So why am I just getting around to listening to it now? Well, a PR guy or label representative (I forget which) said they would send a copy of this CD for review. So I waited...and waited...until I got sick of waiting and said, "Fuck it, I'll buy it myself."
So a few months late, here I am listening to Rhino Bucket's latest platter and I'm not sure what to say. If you've ever heard Rhino Bucket before then you know exactly what this CD sounds like. Vocalist Georg Dolivo spits out his lyrics with a tequila-laced attitude that few in rock can match and the rest of the band follows with their minimalist approach. People may say this music is formulaic, and in a way it is. But it delivers in the same way your favorite TV show does every week, or the way your favorite brand of beer always quenches your thirst. Songs like "Welcome To Hell", "Dead & Well", "Blood, Sweat & Beers", the seething "Smile" and the incredible "Hammer & Nail" are fueled by raw emotion, a bad attitude and an infectious groove. How any self-respecting sleaze rock fan can't fall in love with this is hard for me to comprehend.
Rhino Bucket may have disappeared for a decade, but the sound remains the same. Some things within the band itself have changed - they recruited a Kix guitarist and their drummer transformed from a man to a female (don't ask) - but the hard rock boogie remains. Rhino Bucket's blueprint didn't change at all during their sabbatical and thank God for that, bands like this aren't supposed to change. They are supposed to deliver, and on And Then It Got Ugly they do just that. When I purchased this album I wanted to hear the Rhino Bucket of old, and that is exactly what I got - this is one satisfied customer!

Bio

Signed to Warner Bros. in 1990, Rhino Bucket’s self-titled debut yielded two singles “One Night Stand” and “Blood on the Cross,” which heaved them to the Billboard Top 40 singles chart and made them regulars on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball. “Get Used to It”, 1992’s follow up, was recorded by legendary producer Terry Manning (Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top) and spawned the single “Ride with Yourself,” which landed on the soundtrack to the blockbuster film Wayne’s World.

In 1993 drummer Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio) joined the group for the recording of their third album, 1994’s “Pain”. This lineup toured relentlessly until 1995 when the band took what turned out to be an extended hiatus. Never ones to say die, a one-off sold-out reunion gig in 2000 inspired singer/guitarist Georg Dolivo and bassist Reeve Downes to reform with original drummer Liam Jason and KIX guitarist Brian "Damage" Forsythe.

The band hit the L.A. clubs and found their reputation had grown substantially, gaining the attention of hip indie label Acetate Records. This resulted in 2006's "And Then It Got Ugly” which produced the single “Welcome to Hell”, featured in the Oscar winning film “The Wrestler”. Simon Wright returned to the fold at 2007’s Rocklahoma festival and subsequently appears on 2009's "The Hardest Town" album.

In 2010 Rhino Bucket made their first European appearance in nearly 15 years with a 45-date tour covering 14 countries. The start of 2011 saw an even more extensive tour of Europe in support of “Who’s Got Mine”, the bands third release for the Acetate imprint. The new album was recorded in Hollywood at Grandmaster Recorders by producer Doug Boehm. The Bucket will continue to stay on the road for the remainder of 2011, including another European tour in June, an appearance at Sweden Rock, and multiple tours of North America. Catch this definitive line up of the band featuring Georg Dolivo, Reeve Downes, Brian Forsythe (KIX), and Simon Wright (AC/DC, DIO, UFO).
