"Rhythm Muscle Band Hits #1 on KMIX Radio"

http://rhythmmuscleband.com/2018/09/10/rhythm-muscle-band-hits-1-on-kmix-radioSpartanburg’s own, Rhythm Muscle Band, is a first-class hit in Los Angeles. In fact, the popular single from the group—There’s a Whole World Waiting for You—has hit No. 1 on KMIX Radio.

KMIX Los Angeles is based out of Los Angeles, California and produces radio content targeting listeners in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. KMIX Los Angeles is part of the Berkshire Media Group. XR Media and Berkshire Media Group are wholly-owned subsidiaries of The Akademia.

When asked about the success of the popular single, founder John Rutledge said, “It been such a surreal and happy moment [hearing the single’s air play]. Most of the group has spent their lives working multiple jobs while being musicians. It was great to think that so many years of hard work really paid off.”

The single, which was written in the late 70’s by friend of the band Jeff Logan, has also received critical acclaim. “Rhythm Muscle Band knows their strengths – an intuition that may make them a top R&B contender – songs like ‘There’s A Whole World Waiting For You’ are irresistibly suave.” - Joe Worthen

Bio

Rhythm Muscle is a six piece R&B and Pop Rock band from Spartanburg,SC.
Lead vocalist Dana Bradley and co founder John Rutledge have worked together for nearly a decade. George Mixson Bassist, Gary Richie Guitarist, Michael Blythe Keyboardist and Bunny Clyde Saxophonist make up the band.

One publicist called our sound Rhythm and Blues with an edge.

The band has released two cover albums and plans to release an original EP in 2019.

Etta James inspired everyone from The Rolling Stones to Diana Ross, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse. Therefore, it should be no surprise that she also influenced Rhythm Muscle. Late in her career, James’ voice deepened moving her style from the doo-wop girls of the 1950s to a renowned soul and R&B artist. Those who have listened to songs belted by lead singer, Dana Bradley, know she bridges the gap between R&B and Rock ‘N Roll—making this tribute album an ideal match. These songs—a compilation of James’ greatest hits and a few of her underappreciated singles—will make you smile, sing, and sway. And, as James herself once said, “Even if a song has been done a thousand times, you can still bring something of your own to it.” We like to believe, even in the shadow of this inspiring artist, Rhythm Muscle has done just that!
