BandCountryClassic Rock

From the Los Angeles Music Connection Magazine:

"Michael J Smith leads the performance playing a black acoustic guitar. It is impossible not to be drawn to the bass texture of his voice and his physical and aural resemblance to Johnny Cash is practically eerie. Leticia Blumette steals the stage with the energy covering songs by Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson and Pat Benatar. They are purely live entertainment for a live audience." Los Angeles Music Connection Magazine

The Rhythm Rangers have won several polls as Southern California's best band including The Reporter Poll as well as radio station KHAY 100.7. Their single, "Alaska Boogie" got extensive airplay on Top 40 Country radio. The Rhythm Rangers have received rave reviews in both California and national media. A New York Times review called their music "Rip Roaring." A Los Angeles Times review quoted Country DJ Charlye Parker describing a Rhythm Rangers' Concert as "Spending time in musical heaven." The Santa Barbara News Press called them "California's best band" after they played an exclusive Event for Queen Elizabeth. The Ventura Star called the Rhythm Ranger's music "Sonically impressive."

The Rhythm Rangers play a unique blend of Classic and New Country, Classic Rock, Blues and their award winning Tribute to Johnny Cash. Multi-talented female vocalist Leticia Blumette belts out songs from the Hot New Country of Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson, Wyonna Judd, and Mary Chapin Carpenter, to tunes by June Carter, Tracy Chapman, Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, and the Eagles. Guitarist/Vocalist Michael J has been called "America's #1 Johnny Cash Tribute performer." Michael J and Leticia duet together on Johnny Cash and June Carter tunes like "Jackson." Bass player/vocalist Kenny Lee Lewis has the vocal range to sing tunes like Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman." Lead Guitarist/vocalist Craig Newton is featured on tunes by The Beatles and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

A recent client remarked that "The Rhythm Rangers played my event and covered all the music we requested. My husband is from Los Angeles and he and his family wanted to hear Classic Rock like Beatles, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top and Tom Petty. I'm from the South and my family wanted to hear Country Music and especially Johnny Cash. They even played 'Brick House and Play that Funky Music' for my niece." Kat Clancy

Based in the Los Angeles area, The Rhythm Rangers have toured extensively throughout the Northwest, Midwest and Rocky Mountain States playing Fairs and Festivals.
